DisplayPort cables, also called DP cables, are a digital display interface standard determined by the Video Electronics Standards Association and define a digital video and audio interconnection in one cable, similar to what HDMI cables do. The difference is that Display Port cables are designed to connect computing devices to multiple display devices, while an HDMI cable is more often used in home entertainment and home theater systems.
